Cheddar-Stuffed Burgers

What You Need

  • 1 Tbsp. oil
  • 1 small yellow onion, cut lengthwise in half, then crosswise into thin slices
  • 1 lb. lean ground beef
  • 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp. black pepper
  • 1/2 cup KRAFT Signature Cheddar Blend Shredded Cheese
  • 4 hamburger buns, toasted
  • 8 pickle chips

Let’s Make It

  1. Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook 8 to 10 min. or until tender and lightly browned, stirring frequently until soft and caramelized. Remove onions from heat; reserve.
  2. Mix meat, Worcestershire, garlic powder and black pepper; shape into 8 (1/4-inch thick) patties. Place 2 Tbsp. cheese on center of 4 patties. Top with remaining patties; pinch edges together to seal.
  3. Heat griddle or skillet on medium-high heat. Spray with cooking spray; add burgers to griddle.
  4. Cook burgers 3 to 5 min. on each side or until done (160°F).
  5. Fill buns with burgers, pickles and reserved onions.
