What You Need
- 1 Tbsp. oil
- 1 small yellow onion, cut lengthwise in half, then crosswise into thin slices
- 1 lb. lean ground beef
- 1 tsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/4 tsp. black pepper
- 1/2 cup KRAFT Signature Cheddar Blend Shredded Cheese
- 4 hamburger buns, toasted
- 8 pickle chips
Let’s Make It
- Heat oil in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add onions; cook 8 to 10 min. or until tender and lightly browned, stirring frequently until soft and caramelized. Remove onions from heat; reserve.
- Mix meat, Worcestershire, garlic powder and black pepper; shape into 8 (1/4-inch thick) patties. Place 2 Tbsp. cheese on center of 4 patties. Top with remaining patties; pinch edges together to seal.
- Heat griddle or skillet on medium-high heat. Spray with cooking spray; add burgers to griddle.
- Cook burgers 3 to 5 min. on each side or until done (160°F).
- Fill buns with burgers, pickles and reserved onions.
