Total Time: 45 Mins

Prep Time: 45 Mins

Servings: 8

What You Need

  • 3 eggs
  • 1-1/2 cups KRAFT Finely Shredded Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 4 Gala apples (1-1/4 lb.), chopped
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup whipped cream

Let’s Make It

  1. Whisk eggs in medium bowl until blended. Add cheese; mix lightly.
  2. Add 2 heaping Tbsp. cheese mixture to center of prepared waffle grid. Close lid quickly.  (Do not open until chaffle is done.)  Cook 3 min. or until chaffle is crisp and lightly browned.  When done, lift chaffle off grid with fork; keep warm until ready to serve.  Repeat with remaining batter to make 7 more chaffles.
  3. Melt butter in large saucepan on medium heat. Add apples; cook 2 min., stirring frequently. Add sugar and cinnamon; mix well.  Stir in nuts. Cover; cook on low heat 5 min. or until apples are tender, stirring occasionally.
  4. Serve chaffles topped with apple mixture and whipped cream.

Kitchen Tips

  • Chaffles work the best when prepared in round individual waffle irons as directed in recipe.  But if you instead have a regular waffle maker, cook the waffle batter in preheated waffle iron as directed by the waffle iron’s manufacturer. Cut into 8 pieces before serving as directed.

  • How to Keep the Waffles Warm:

Heat oven to 250°F.  Place chaffles in single layer in shallow pan, then place pan in oven to keep chaffles warm until ready to serve as directed.
