Creamy Cavatappi Cacio e Pepe

What You Need

  • 2-1/2 cups cavatappi, uncooked 
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine, divided 
  • 2 Tbsp. flour 
  • 2 cups milk 
  • 1 cup KRAFT Shredded Parmesan Cheese 
  • 1/2 cup KRAFT Shredded Mozzarella Cheese 
  • 1/2 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper 

Let’s Make It

  1. Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt.   
  2. Meanwhile, melt butter in large skillet on low heat. Add flour; cook and stir 1 min. or until hot and bubbly. Gradually whisk in milk. Bring to boil on medium heat, stirring constantly; simmer on low heat 3 to 5 min. or until thickened, stirring constantly. 
  3. Remove from heat. Add remaining ingredients; stir until melted. 
  4. Drain pasta. Add to cheese sauce; mix well.
