French Onion Grilled Cheese

What You Need

  • 5 tsp. butter, softened, divided
  • 1 small onion, thinly sliced
  • 4 slices Italian bread (shorter, wider loaf than French bread baguette)
  • 2 KRAFT Big Slice Aged Swiss Cheese Slices
  • 1 Tbsp. KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese

Let’s Make It

  1. Melt 1 tsp. butter in medium skillet on medium-low heat. Add onions; cook and stir 5 min. or until golden brown.
  2. Fill bread slices with onions and Swiss cheese to make 2 sandwiches. Spread outsides of sandwiches with remaining butter; sprinkle with Parmesan.
  3. Cook in skillet on medium heat 2 min. on each side or until cheese is melted and sandwiches are golden brown on both sides.
