What You Need
- 3-1/2 cups cavatappi, uncooked
- 1-1/2 lb. boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/2 tsp. freshly cracked black pepper, divided
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 tsp. minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 1 cup fat-free reduced-sodium chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated KRAFT Grated Parmesan Cheese
- 1/4 cup oil-packed sundried tomatoes, drained and chopped
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- 1/4 tsp. garlic powder
- 1 cup spinach, chopped
Let’s Make It
- Cook pasta as directed on package, omitting salt. Meanwhile, season chicken with 1/4 tsp. pepper.
- Heat oil in large skillet on medium-high heat. Add chicken; cook and stir 6 to 8 min. until done. Remove chicken from skillet; cover to keep warm.
- Melt butter in skillet on low heat. Add garlic; cook 30 sec. Add flour; cook and stir 1 min. or until hot and bubbly. Gradually stir in milk and chicken broth. Bring to boil on medium heat 3 to 5 min. or until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Stir in cheese, sun-dried tomatoes, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and remaining black pepper until combined. Stir in spinach.
- Drain pasta. Add pasta and chicken to cheese sauce; mix well.
