Mozzarella Sticks

What You Need

  • 2/3 cup flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup seasoned panko crumbs
  • 1/2 cup plus 2 Tbsp. KRAFT Shredded Parmesan Cheese, divided
  • 1 pkg. (16 oz.) KRAFT Mozzarella String Cheese, unwrapped
  • 1-1/2 cups oil
  • 2 cups marinara, heated

Let’s Make It

  1. Add flour to shallow dish. Beat egg in separate shallow dish. Mix panko crumbs and 1/2 cup Parmesan in third shallow dish.
  2. Dip cheese sticks, 1 at a time, in flour, then egg. Repeat process, coating in Parmesan mixture after second egg coating, turning to evenly coat both sides of each cheese stick before placing on waxed paper-covered baking sheet. Freeze 20 min. or until firm.
  3. Heat oil in medium skillet to 375°F. Add cheese, in batches; cook 1 min. on each side or until golden brown. Remove cheese from skillet to platter; cover to keep warm.  Top with remaining Parmesan.  Serve with marinara sauce.
